Understanding the truth about The Name
The Name of Jesus is not a religious title that can be used to greet one another and to set a religious tone nor to end a prayer. “Religiously” used by a believers the believer might fail to see the true value and grace that is in the Name.
A name in general can be defined as a label or designation that sets one person apart from another. But in the Bible a name is much more than an identifier as it tends to be in our culture. Personal names (and even place names) were formed from words that had their own meaning. Thus, the people of the Bible were very conscious of the meaning of names. They believed there was a vital connection between the name and the person it identified.

In this paper am starting by showing how Jesus related to the issue at hand, how He was able to benefit and use the Name that God had given Him and how He express the essence of the Name.
Most people lack the appreciation of what it means to declare in the name of Jesus. The lord Himself understood the power that was in the Name God the Father gave Him . Jesus reveals at the end of His ministry how he was benefited and how he operated in the power of the Name.
John 17:6
"I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world.

Even the Son of God had to come to this important truth of the the Name and the power of the Name and how one benefits from the Name. Jesus said in
John 17:11-12
And I am no longer in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one as we.
12 When I was with them I kept them in thy name; those thou hast given me I have guarded, and not one of them has perished, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Jesus our Savior according to these texts knew the power that is in understanding the truth and authority of a Name. He used the Name according to the bible in the following
1. He manifested the Person hood and Glory of the Father by manifesting His Name
John 17:6 I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world Darby.
I t is amazing that Jesus reveals how He used the Name which God gave Him which was originally the Name of the Father. How He depended on the Name even though He was God.
2. Jesus preserve, guide, and gave life those that God had given Him in the Name
John 17:12
When I was with them I kept them in thy name; those thou hast given me I have guarded, and not one of them has perished, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled

Jesus claimed the Name and expressed what was in the Name and He did not only declared the Name of but He became the Name. The authority in the Name become the authority in Him, the Glory in the Name became the Glory of Him.
Understanding this Truth Jesus achieved His purpose in the Name that God His Father gave Him which was His. It did not come only by declaring the Name but also but expressing the Life which was in the Name
