Saved Completely: Understanding Our Salvation Part 3

Saved Completely: Understanding Our Salvation Part 3

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God Not of works, lest any man should boast. [Eph 2:8-9]

Having understood God’s plan of salvation and how God executed it, we need then to have the full implications of this great salvation. In the verse above the Apostle Paul tells us that salvation is by grace. There is nothing that one can do in their own power to get it. You do not have to obey the law to be saved. You do not need first to leave certain sins to be saved. It is by grace and through Faith.

When one hears the Gospel, believes it and respond by accepting it and confessing the Lordship of Jesus with their mouth, they are saved. When one is saved, at that moment they are complete and perfect and what awaits is one to learn how to bring and work this salvation out.[Philip 2: 12-13]

This process is what one will have to learn as they walk in their salvation. The word describes that everyone who comes to God by Jesus and only this way will be completely saved. Therefore he is able to SAVE COMPLETELY those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them. [Heb7: 25 NIV emphasis mine] The King James Version says he will be saved to the uttermost.

This is because at the instant of salvation, one is born again, that is born of God. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God [John 1: 12-13] They are no longer of Adam and cannot be vulnerable to what fallen man is vulnerable to because they have been saved from Adam into Christ.

Paul uses the word ‘regeneration’ to describe this salvation. [Titus 3: 5] We can break down this word to understand its meaning in this subject to, re- gene-ration. When one is saved they have been re’gene’d. They have new genes as of Christ in the spirit.

At new birth one is delivered, saved from their sins (past, present, and future), healed of all sicknesses, preserved from all the negative elements and forces, made whole in all issues and empowered to prosper and be fruitful. If one is saved in the true light of the word then one is free from all sin, demonic bondages, oppressions and possessions, poverty, all curses and negative circumstances.

At salvation all has become new and one has to walk in this light and perspective and not by the circumstances. For we walk by faith, not by sight:[2Co 5:7] There is no deliverance for Christians. Believers are not sinners saved by grace but a completely new creation. Those saved are not the poor trying to be made rich but are the rich realising their estate. God could not make a new creation that would still need deliverance, healing and prosperity.

The Kingdom life, eternal life is what one begins to experience and what one is apportioned to after being healed, delivered, saved from all sin, and made prosperous in Christ. Ephesians said being saved is a gift of God. A gift is what one gets for free and does not have to do anything to deserve it. Salvation is a gift which one receives by grace through faith and this salvation is a complete and an all encompassing gift. All that man has to do after salvation is applying the principles and following the leading of the Holy Spirit to bring this reality to manifestation.

As we have described Adam’s death that it was instantaneous in his spirit which resulted in progressive death in his soul and ultimate death in the body so it is with salvation. It is instantaneous in the spirit, progressive in the soul and ultimate in the body. The other part of salvation is what will be dealt with on other platforms. Righteousness, Healing, deliverance, redemption, prosperity and safety are no longer promises to believers but realities to be enjoyed.

This is the gospel of Jesus Christ. The word gospel means good news. this is good news and anyone who believes this and confesses the lord Jesus as their lord will be saved.
